Ever since my father taught me the meaning of the words, I’ve always loved the juxtaposition of the incongruous. This fulfills that need on so many levels.

Imposing Monk

The day after the botanical garden last weekend we went to a tiny little town on Lake Biwa called Ohmi-Hachiman. There, on a bike ride around, I found this monk in a temple. He was imposing.
